April 12 — Business owner gives back to Bonney Lake school

John Patrick, the owner of the new sub shop “Jersey Mike’s” in Bonney Lake, sets a good example for community involvement with education. During a time when school bonds are failing and needs are rising, Patrick donated a portion of the proceeds from his first week in business to Emerald Ridge Elementary’s Parent Teacher Organization. His children no longer attend the school but he felt it was still important to contribute to the education of other students. The school meant a lot to his family, he explained. Bonney Lake should feel proud to have business owners like Patrick in their community.
