Editorial: Thank you, volunteers, for keeping Puyallup clean

Published: May 5th, 2008 05:58 PM

It should make Puyallup residents proud that more than three dozen volunteers took one of the few sunny days we’ve had this season to make downtown shine. As part of Puyallup Main Street Association’s annual Clean Sweep, people of all ages gathered on Saturday to tidy up sidewalks, work on flower beds and even make alleys a little nicer to look at. Rogers High School ROTC, the Youth Investment Center, Main Street board members and people from the community all felt it was their responsibility to give their community a little spring cleaning.

The community could use more neighbors like this.
